Our hospital is bringing a proven health care revolution to Georgia. In late 2003 the Georgia Community Health Board correctly evaluated the emergency services of acute care general hospitals in our State as a point of crisis. Patients seeking medical services increasingly relied on such emergency rooms as point of general care medical services resulting in an average wait of 5 to 6 hours in a typical case.
Using a delivery model first established at Gilbert Hospital in Gilbert Arizona in 2006 Stone Mountain ER, has planned development of a full service acute care hospital sharing beds with surrounding general hospital partners and focusing its care and assets on delivery of excellent medical care to Emergency Room patients with the ability to transfer extreme trauma cases, once stablized, to partner hospitals who can provide full serice beds with critical care beds and surgical specialists to conduct planned treatments and operations to those in need, after Stone Mountain ER saves them and reduces their immediate crisis. We believe our offering will also meet many of the US Federal Government policy goals, helping improve care and reduce costs.
